Woods's exposure to the Marine Industry at a young age led him to the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY where he graduated with a degree in Marine Engineering as well as a license as a 3rd Assistant Engineer.
Prior to graduation Woods accepted a position of Staff Engineer at the National Steel Shipbuilding Co. (NASSCO) in San Diego. After holding several positions at NASSCO and spending time in various departments, Woods elected to move closer to home and took a position with Nautical Technology Corporation (NTC) in New York.
His position as a Product Consultant soon moved into Business Development. When NTC became ABS Nautical Systems several years later Woods moved over the Sales Department. In the past 7 years, Woods has held positions as Business Development Manger, and Sr. Regional Business Development Manager for the Americas.
Today Woods is the Vice President Sales and Marketing at ABS Nautical Systems responsible for all sales activity and client relations in North and South America. His background has given him a strong knowledge and appreciation of engineering, the marine industry and technology.
